Why Should We Help Our Ancestors?

Among our ancestors who have passed away long ago, a paltry number make it to Heaven, if any. To be reincarnated as a human, they have to wait a long, long, long time.

Sometimes, a few decades have passed, and they are still waiting in line for their turn to be reborn, while having a difficult life in the netherworld.

There are also ancestors who have committed grave sins and upon their death, they immediately fall into the terrible realms of animals, hungry ghosts and Hell.

The afterlife destiny of our ancestors affects us, the descendants, in more ways than most of us realise. It is similar to how our parents’ destiny have an impact on us growing up, and how ours affect our children’s destiny.

Hence, registering our ancestors for bardo deliverance benefits both the dead and living. So just what is bardo deliverance? How can this help the descendants and ancestors?
