Those Eyes of the Universe

My dear Grandmaster, in these 13 thirteen years, You have always been on the top of my head, in the bottom of my heart, but I still think of You day and night.

On 9 December 2014, we had lunch with You in Taichung for two hours. I was very nervous and dare not look at You much. At that time, Grandmaster said Shifu’s eyes could see through a person.

After the luncheon, in a moment of naivety and ignorance, I asked Shifu, “Shifu, Grandmaster said your eyes could see through a person. Then when you were conversing with Him just now, what did you see in His eyes?”

In a serious tone, Shifu replied me, “I saw the Universe in Grandmaster’s eyes. It was vast and infinite. His eyes hold a very very deep Universe, which has no end. They were very bright. This shows how magnanimous and big His heart is. It also means He has an unimaginable amount of good fortune, hence He can do bardo deliverance on tens of thousands of spirits in the netherworld. Hence His image can be carved into a statue for worshipping by others for so many decades. You must realise this, our Grandmaster originates from the energies in the Universe. He has genuine spiritual accomplishments. You simply have no idea what His level of attainment is. He has truly achieved yogic union with the Universe. He is a real living Buddha.”

As Shifu spoke, he gesticulated animatedly, showing me how enormous and extensive the Universe was, how amazing our Grandmaster was.

The Universe in the eyes? But Grandmaster’s eyes are not very big. How can His eyes contain the Universe? How do such eyes look?

At that time, I had yet to debut as a Chinese Metaphysics practitioner. Although I was often by Shifu’s side when he met his clients, and had seen countless people, I was not the one doing the actual work. My ability to read people was very superficial then.

On 15 December 2018, as we did audiobook recording for True Buddha Prajna Treasury, we were very fortunate to meet Grandmaster again in Taichung for dinner.

Due to an issue I had in production, which could only be answered by Grandmaster, I was arranged to sit near You and wait for the opportune moment to ask my question.

When the chance arose, I put my palms together and asked, “Grandmaster, I met with a difficulty during the audiobook production. May I ask you a question please?”

In the spilt second after I spoke my question, I saw the compassionate concern that flowed out from Grandmaster’s eyes, as You agreed to my request.

I am not an emotional person, but that great compassion, which obviously stemmed from every single living cell and bone in You, was so natural, pure and filled with so much love.

I was deeply moved at that moment, and was ashamed that I did not have such Love in me.

That night was my first time ever looking into Grandmaster’s eyes while I spoke.

As I was asking the question, I couldn’t help but exclaimed in my heart, goodness gracious me! I have never seen such eyes in my entire life. Those were really the eyes of the Universe!

I had the nickname of “Big Eyes Girl” since young. But when this pair of big eyes looked into the eyes of Grandmaster, I seemed to be unable to see myself and had gotten lost in the great Universe inside His eyes. It was too vast. There was no end to His eyes. I momentarily felt very insignificant.

Eyes are the windows to one’s soul. The eyes of most people would be ablaze with their greed, hatred, ignorance, jealousy, arrogance and suspicion. But I saw absolutely no trace of these six poisons in Grandmaster’s eyes.

The eyes of the average person are very shallow. A light glance and I would have seen the ends in their eyes, as their souls have little depth and content. In their hearts, they have set many obstacles for themselves, and it all show in their eyes. However, there was no such mental hindrance in Grandmaster’s eyes. Instead, it was full of wisdom from the Universe. There was no end and no boundary in His eyes, as His heart had an immeasurable capacity.

It has been a year plus since I produced Grandmaster’s audiobooks together with Shifu and the Husband in April 2018. There were difficulties, but they were all resolved. It takes about 30-40 hours to produce an audiobook from recording to post production. The mantras in the audiobooks are those recited by Grandmaster personally. I listened to over 40 Dharma discourses to find the right ones, and hence more time is spent.

During this period, I observed the changes in my face and my eyes. Due to all the time I spent immersed in the Prajna wisdom of Grandmaster, my appearance has grown smarter and wiser. I look less silly and stupid than before, and my heart has opened up much more. 😄

I like doing the audiobooks and I will keep on doing, till all of Grandmaster’s books has been turned into audiobooks.

Because I wanted to do this volunteer work well, in the past one year, I reduced my content creation online and production of my Youtube videos. But I am truly grateful for the blessings from Grandmaster. While I met less clients last year, my clients doubled and even tripled after moving into this home of better Feng Shui and more serene environment this year. I was also able to find an experienced Taiwanese video editor smoothly, to do the post production for my Facebook lives the past three years. I hope to be able to upload to my Youtube channel regularly this year.

The best home Feng Shui I had ever lived in is this current home. I had to live till this old age before I can stay in such a home. It is blatant how lowly my inherent good fortune is.

Thank you to Grandmaster, for always taking care of my worldly and spiritual resources. I did not cultivate well my fortunes and virtues in my past lives. Fortunately I met the Great Fortune Vajra this lifetime, who bestowed upon me the opportunity to transform my destiny and the great Dharma practices to liberate myself from sufferings and receive eternal bliss.

The 272 books authored by Grandmaster never close shop on us disciples, just like the noble aspiration of Grandmaster to never forsake a single sentient being in every lifetime of Yours.

I do not much friends, hence previously, I did many Lives and wrote articles on Facebook, to gift Grandmaster’s books to people whom I have the affinity with. I had also wanted to accumulate merits for my deceased Grandmother. This attracted many kind-hearted Dharma brothers and sisters to engage with my posts through likes, comments and shares.

Out of concern, a Dharma brother said I was being very high profile because of my wish to do more for Grandmaster. Like a tall tree that attracts the wind, he worried that I was attracting too much attention for my own good. He asked if I had attained yogic union with Grandmaster and my Root Deity practices. He also asked if I was able to protect myself with my tantric practices and Feng Shui techniques, in case of harassment.

Actually, the Dharma brother thought too highly of me. All these Dharma brothers and sisters are devotees of Grandmaster. I was just sharing my personal experience with my readers. I did not do anything great to shout about. It was merely mutual encouragement between fellow Dharma siblings. All merits originate from Grandmaster. Without You, there would be neither Lotus Ji Qian, nor such virtuous acts to perform.

While I understand the Four States of Phenomena: formation, existence, destruction, and emptiness, I cannot bear the thought of Grandmaster leaving. My greatest regret is not knowing about You earlier and take refuge in True Buddha.

If there is any merit generated, I dedicate all to Grandmaster. May You be healthy, enjoy a long life, always be at ease and abide in this Saha world. May You be free from all disasters and live everyday with the greatest happiness.
