Yesterday, I woke up around 6 am, busy editing videos without having breakfast. In Seattle’s Lei Tsang Temple, while waiting for lunch, I kept telling my husband that I was hungry. I even took a piece of chocolate from the main hall meant for the worshippers.

When I sat down to have lunch with my Guru, he asked, “Does your hotel serve breakfast?” (Similar question). He even recommended a hotel that provides breakfast and inquired about eateries near my hotel. The conversation went on for about 10 minutes. I felt quite embarrassed!

I recall hearing about a devotee praying fervently at the main shrine of Seattle Lei Tsang Temple. She cried and poured her heart out to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for several days. Even though my Root Guru was far away in another building, He heard her cries and asked His attendants why they did not informed Him about the woman’s intense sorrow.

When I was hungry and whined about it, I did not use a loudspeaker, and Grandmaster was not even present in the vicinity. How did He hear me from such a distance? Today, I have learned my lesson – I came to the hotel restaurant early for breakfast, sparing my compassionate Root Guru from worrying about such trivial matters. 😬
