What Values Most Is Your Family

In the course of my work, I have warned parents if their children’s Bazi show signs of suicidal inclinations, self harm or proneness to anxiety & depression. More than many times.

Once during a Feng Shui audit, I told a father, to help his son’s academics, I hoped for him to read to his son.

The father instinctively said, “No time!”

I asked what he was busy with at night. He told me a long list, including the many “chores” he did for his children. I reminded him that for his son’s Bazi, he must be the one to read to his son for best results, and his son would love it.

Without a second thought, the father replied, “Yes, he loves it!”

During the young age of children, it is the best time for parents to build a strong mindset in them. Should you miss it, it is gone forever.

Modern day parents have no problems providing their children with material nutrition. However, they neglect (sometimes deliberately) that the children needs emotional nutrition from their parents most.

Teacher Lin Wen Cai wrote, “Without emotional nutrition, the enormous powers of the mind cannot be realised.”

In the cosmic trinity equation of “Favourable Time, Favourable Place and Favourable Human Effort”, if the child lacks the innate advantage of the first variable and the last variable is being compromised on, then he/she will have to rely on the the second variable – Favourable Place.

It is not a good sign that in Singapore, buildings are built closer and closer because in Feng Shui, that means the occupants are more prone to feeling stressed, flaring up at the slightest thing and cooping themselves in their mental prison of depression and anxiety, to the extent of throwing away the prison keys.

That is why I always tell my clients of homes with small space – do away with the fanciful home decor you have in mind. Keep it simple and practical. Do not have bulky furniture or excessive stuff, so as not to take up the space.

Hacking down walls to create this “open space” illusion is also a disastrous idea. It makes more money for the contractor but compromises on the health and wealth of your family.

If your home is small and there are many occupants, don’t get too vain in your interior decor pursuits and sacrifice the wealth and happiness of your family.

I am very particular in my Feng Shui audit. My clients can attest to that. Not because of the red packet they give me, but because I have a soft spot for children and I wish to save whoever I can.

May all children grow up safely and happily, and be able to contribute to their family, society and country, so as to repay the debts of gratitude to their parents, and the society and country for raising them up.
