Remembering Grandma

The 8th Lunar month is the month of my grandmother’s death anniversary.

Like what I had been doing in the past 12 years, on the 15th and 16th day of the 8th Lunar Month, I recited one volume The Sutra of the Fundamental Vows of the Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva.

This is probably my 61st recitation of the sutra.

This year, I upped my previous years by doing 3 Facebook Lives, and gave away the virtuous books “Manifestation of the Netherworld 1 and 2” and “Unborn Baby Souls”, written by my Grandmaster, the Dharma King Living Buddha Lian-Sheng.

The former is the modern world version of the Song Dynasty classic, The Jade Record. When our hearts change, the netherworld changes. When the netherworld changes, it is a reflection of the change in our hearts.

Every single act and thought of yours may have already planted a seed to be reborn in hell. To understand the Law of Cause and Effect and the reality of hell, please read this book.

The latter “Unborn Baby Souls” advocates respect for all fetal lives and protection for all babies. Life begins when fertilisation takes place.

Living Buddha Lian-Sheng had said this sincerely and earnestly to remind us,

“Even if the circumstances are the most adverse, a pregnant person cannot kill an innocent life.”

This book collates real-life stories of unborn baby souls. Through the stories, we can understand that karma truly exists, divine retribution is clear and unerring.

Inside this book, there is also a sutra expounded by the Buddha “《佛說長壽滅罪護諸童子陀羅尼經》”, and the vernacular explanation, and the methods to register a baby soul, aborted or miscarriaged, for bardo deliverance or setting up of a tablet.

May more parents be able to walk out from their misery of having an unborn baby soul.

May more helpless baby souls be able to let go of their hatred and resentment, and ascend to the Pureland of Ultimate Bliss soonest.

May the parents and the baby souls be able to resolve their enemity.

I have sent out 20 copies of these two books, not just to Singapore, but also to Australia and Malaysia.

To be honest, this takes up time, effort and money.

Why do I not choose to just put them at temples for free distribution?

Fact is, I had done so for many years.

But the people beyond the confines of a temple are also sentient beings. They too critically need such prajna wisdom to change their lives for the better.

12 years ago, I didn’t have much money to register my grandmother for puja ceremonies. So I made a vow that I would bring benefits to sentient beings with the use of Chinese Metaphysics and Buddhadharma.

12 years had flew by. I had never backed down out of fear.

And I will not shrink back due to fear.

I may be a female. But I’m not a coward who fear getting involved or gossips/rumours.

For my grandmother, I have no qualms about bearing hardships.

Then again, don’t mistake me as a filial child. Sometimes, the reason why people act this way is to make up for the unfilial and rebellious wrongs they have committed.

My Grandmaster has said, there is no time limit to accumulating merits for the deceased.

It had been a road of tumbles and stumbles.

I’m truly grateful to those of you who believe in me, and hence eagerly registered for these books.

I’m even more thankful to some of you who took the time to send me thank-you PMs, comments and book photos, after receiving the parcels.

Because of you, my book-giving activity is able to be accomplished successfully, with merits that I can dedicate to my deceased grandparents.

If there is no Master Dai Hu, I will not be able to know my Grandmaster Living Buddha Lian-Sheng.

If there is no Living Buddha Lian-Sheng, there will be no Lotus Ji Qian now.

I am most willing to share the good that I have received with all of you. I hope that you can all achieve more wisdom and be able to depart from the sufferings, and gain bliss.

The so-called intelligence in this mortal world is full of loopholes. I personally think the Buddhadharma is the ultimate form of wisdom we can acquire.
