“There is nothing more dangerous than a closed mind.”

Chinese Metaphysics has a very far-reaching history of 2000 years, with many resounding success stories.

Yet, ask any Chinese person, young or old, male or female, very few are natural believers of this ancient knowledge.

Even fewer can tell you who invented the Bagua, the Eight Trigrams.

Many, you would find, snuff it as old wives tale. Or they tell you things like, ” It exists if you believe in it. It does not if you don’t.”

What rubbish.

This is NO law of attraction.

Let me tell you this, you do not need to believe in Chinese Metaphysics for it to hold true. Secondly, you should not label something as superstitious, if you have never put in the effort to understand it. That would be like calling the earth flat, because you have never seen it from space. Or denying the existence of UV rays because you cannot see it with your naked eye.

Why am I so sure about that?

Because I had lived life on both ends of the spectrum.

I am at this point of life, where I am well-provided for. Money comes to me easily. Health and relationships are great and nurtured.

But for the first thirty-five years of my life, I went through very painful struggles, fought many wars of survival, and lived in a big bubble of fear and self-doubt.

You know, 35 years is a freaking long time, to be always rolling down the hill like Jack and Jill.

It wasn’t by luck I am no longer struggling.

It wasn’t only sheer hustling that got me here. (Believe me, I come from a very hardworking family.)

And strong mental power can only get me that far.

I only managed to turn my life around when I finally decided to face up to my destiny.

I was in Primary 4. It was a day of joy and delight when my family finally moved into the new 3-room flat, after living in a one-room flat for almost ten years. It was a long-awaited upgrade.

But fear and worry soon cloud over us.

Debts began piling. Bills were not paid in time. Utilities got disconnected and reconnected and disconnected again. Quarrels between my parents escalated. My younger sister was giving my parents problems. My mum’s temper worsened and would beat me up for no good reason.

It was never peaceful at home. Everyday I returned home, not knowing what to expect.

When I sat in the dark, with no electricity and phone access, I got angrier at Life. This was not fair. Why was this happening to my family when my friends were having happier times? How long more must we endure all this hardship?

I worked harder at school. My parents worked harder at their business.

One fine day, Dad & Mum got a Feng Shui Master in to audit our home. I hovered around the adults the entire session, fascinated by this whole Feng Shui thing.

It sounded so magical to a primary school kid. How can this help solve our family problems? Does it have the power to help every other person too?

But after all the money and effort spent, the miracle we prayed for never came.

Things eventually fell apart when I was 16.

I could not understand the adults’ world. I could not fathom why Feng Shui did not work for us. I took to the library almost every weekend and maxed out my library card, borrowing all eight books on Feng Shui, Ba Zi and divination.

My family worked just as hard, or even harder than many people, but why aren’t our destinies as good as others? I aced at my studies and had never been a naughty child, but why is my mum treating me so badly?

I badly wanted an answer but no one could tell me.

When I hit thirty years old, I was already a disciple of Master Dai Hu, a veteran Metaphysics & Buddhism practitioner.

I began to understand more about karma and destinies. I read about past lives and affinities. I learned how our intent determines our path in life.

For years, relatives and friends had talked about the bad Feng Shui of our old home.

Shifu (teacher) got me to draw out the floor plan of my old home. Very patiently, he highlighted all the problems my family had, many which I did not even tell him.

I took a hard look at the Bazi of my parents, mine and my younger sister. Shifu went on to explain that the intricate link between a person’s Bazi and his home.

The knots in my heart began unraveling.

How different life would have been for my Dad and Mum, if they had known their destinies earlier.

How much happier we would be together, if we never stay in a house that can break up a family.

Yet, nothing in life happens by coincidence.

The Buddha says: If you want to know your past, look into your present conditions. If you want to know your future, look into your present actions.

You would think that by now, I should have a easier life with all my Metaphysics knowledge and a dedicated Shifu for easy access.

No, my friend. I screwed things up for myself.

I couldn’t think of a better reason why I did not follow what I was taught.

Just plain old stupidity and arrogance.

I got into a business that I shouldn’t. I worked with people that I shouldn’t. It sucked me dry, mentally and financially. I moved into a house with poor Feng Shui (yes, history repeats itself in the children.) As fate would have it, I made the Feng Shui worse with lots and lots of clutter.

I kept thinking I was in control of the situation. Many people dear to me were trying to stop me. It took me six years to wake up from the mess I created.

The danger of a closed mind.

One day, when the Husband and I finally moved out of our matrimonial home, I snapped out of my self-inflicted nightmare.

It was the day I stopped running, in the opposite direction of my destiny.

The day I finally open my mind.

1.5 year later from that wake-up call, I registered this domain that Shifu had gave me back in 2009.

There are two very important days in your life. The day you are born, because that sets the whole destiny course for you in this lifetime, the highs and the lows, the strong and the weak, your talents and your shortcomings.

The next most important day is the day you know WHY you are born – what are you here for and how do you craft a successful life around your purpose.

I have taken countless personality tests from magazines, reputable wealth and success coaches, at work interviews and one of them supposedly cost US$97.

But nothing, my friend, beats the immense power of Chinese Metaphysics, with its detailed Bazi profiling and myriad Feng Shui application. This knowledge is too precious and critical to be left to the annals of history. In the hands of a skillful master, Chinese Metaphysics remains highly relevant and effective to help anybody live a better life.

Our destines can be changed. No one is condemned to fail forever. My parents have turned their lives around and are now living comfortably and happily. But they took a decade, while I only took two years. Because I use Metaphysics in my life.

Life is too short to be lived unhappily, like a frog in a well.
