Last night, while taking a taxi for work, I noticed that the elderly driver’s phone wallpaper showed a lion with its eyes covered. I do not like to chat during rides, but Shifu has always reminded me to have a heart of generosity and build good connections. Only then can my spiritual cultivation be fruitful.

So, I spoke up, suggesting to the cab driver to move the icons blocking the lion’s eyes. “The road is as dangerous as a tiger’s mouth. If the lion has no eyes, how can it protect itself from danger?”

Just as I was halfway through my sentence, a car suddenly swerved out, almost causing an accident. After pulling over, the cab driver muttered about the other car while moving the icons from his screen. He told me his previous phone wallpaper had been of a Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva sprinkling water. But when his old phone broke, he started using this lion wallpaper on his new one. I smiled and replied, “Uncle, I thought it was because you’re a Leo!”

This is a form (相). An older driver’s eyesight surely is not as sharp as a young man’s. And coincidentally, his wallpaper’s lion had its sharp eyes covered by icons.

Meeting by chance and offering advice is a form of giving. Some things can be hard to explain. On the surface, it looks like I generously pointed something out to the driver. But perhaps in a past life, he helped me, and now I am simply returning the favour.

Everything has form, and where there is form, there is Feng Shui. Where there is Feng Shui, fortune can be seen. How well the form can be deciphered depends on whether you meet an expert. How much you can take it to heart will depend on how much good fortune you carry.

Sometimes, I cannot help but sigh that some of my clients are not as receptive as this elderly driver I randomly encountered.

At least this driver was willing to listen and make adjustments right away. He may not fully understand the principles of Feng Shui and does not even know who I am. Yet, some clients, despite knowing my abilities, remain unmoved. Even after repeatedly being told where their problem lies, they are still fixated on their own ideas, unwilling to change.

Some even throw me attitude, and when they make mistakes, they do not apologize. I notice all of this, of course, and naturally, I do not offer them much guidance. After all, if they treat a Master this way, I doubt they show much respect to their own parents either. Those who cannot keep their composure will struggle to achieve greatness.

On the path of cultivation and improving Feng Shui, it is often not a lack of knowledge that holds people back, but a closed heart. Feng Shui emphasizes aligning with the natural flow of the universe. Only those who are willing to listen and change can truly walk the path of good fortune
